IPCA European Command: Training Center is the training mission of Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain. Unlike the trilogy, where a training video was provided, players are physically involved in the game mechanics, including environmental hazards, navigation techniques, carrying and hiding a body, general combat manoeuvres with a variety of weapons - assault rifles, grenades, tasers, knives and even armed combat dummies with flak jackets - and shooting numerous targets within a time limit.
There is no specific guideline that can be provided except for the advanced target range. A highly recommended weapon is one with a larg amount of ammo, like the C8 rifle. Sniper rifles are ill-advised due to their scope. Have a look around before shooting the targets so you get a general idea of their position. This is rather tame compared to the true missions so there's no harm doing this as many times as you need to before starting the main game.
Unlockable weapons
Finish the advanced target range: Scorpion submachine gun. Very useful in the Carthage episode, but drop it in favour of another SMG when you have more choices.
Finish the entire training, regardless of target range: Smoke grenade and K-BAR
Glitches
When the player accesses a series of rooms to the target course, Imani warns them to use 'IR goggles' rather than the 'flashlight'. However, she could have been referring to the night vision goggles instead. Indeed, the player does not find any sort of infrared device - the closest to such a device would be the AUG Mod-R, and that weapon is certainly not seen anywhere in the combat range.
