Dr. Lawrence Mujari is an old friend of Teresa Lipan and makes his first appearance in Syphon Filter 2 and soon appeared in later Syphon Filter games. It is also revealed he is a skilled doctor in bio-chemicals.
Syphon Filter 2
Although not having a significant plot line, Mujari made his first appearance in a safe house he provided for Gabriel Logan, Lian Xing and Teresa Lipan whom Teresa phoned him to maintain cover on their actions, in which he accepts.
He makes a second appearance after Lian Xing saves Uri Gregorov from Aljir Prison and passes out from the Syphon Filter Virus. Logan and Teresa bring Lian to Mujari's safe house located in Whispering Woods where Mujari and Teresa's grandmother, who apparently sends over medicine, stabilize Lian's condition. Logan then strikes up a deal with Lyle Stevens, head of The Agency and asks Mujari and Teresa if they have a weapon in case Stevens would double cross, Mujari then offers his special bio-chemical gas which, he claims: "anything that sniffs it; is dead." Loganl take brings one of the mixes and leaves for The Agency Bio labs.
After events of Syphon Filter 2 at the end when Jason Chance's identity is revealed and Teresa is presumably killed, Mujari is seen standing with Logan and Lian mourning over the loss of Teresa. Mujari is also brought up to testify for the 'crimes' Logan and Lian have commited around the world, by Vince Hadden. Thus leading to the events of Syphon Filter 3.
Mujari also appears as a Multiplayer character; but must be unlocked first.
Syphon Filter 3
Mujari first appeared in SF3 when he told Gabe and Lian that they have been asked to testify in Washington D.C. He was seen in the senate building when he was testifying about the times when he was working for the ANC. On 27th august of 1984. Him, Venik Smith and Shawon Dejesus (Mujari's teammates) were sent to the Pugari gold mines in Mpumalanga, South Africa during the time of apartheid to investigate a strange disease outbreak. He gets information from Samuel Johnson, a foreman, but later Smith dies while doing his task. Mujari then finishes Smith's task and then Dejesus takes him to a freight elevator leading him to a room full of dead bodies infected with the Syphon Filter virus.
He was last seen at the end of the game on Logan's, Xing's, Lipan's and his vacation talking to them about Mara, who escaped custody.
Trivia
- In Syphon Filter 2, Mujari is depicted with hair ingame and inside of the official Manual. In Syphon Filter 3 onwards Mujari is bald.
