Ivankov mafia connection led to the participation of members Syphon Filter operation. He was familiar with Mara Aramov , though the extent of their cooperation is unknown.
Wanting to destroy Moscow, Ivankov sent Yushenkov to sell the virus on the black market. Chechens were able to buy nuclear warheads from North Korea in exchange for virus samples. Ivankov tried to run the warhead from the Ukrainian base, but the strength of the IPCA intervened.
Wounded in battle with IPCA agents, Ivankov fled to the nearest Ukrainian forest. Logan managed to track him down and killed him .
